Healthy Home Baked Dog Treats made with fruits and vegetables in fun shapes /COOL HOTIES: Rice & Corn Hot/Cold Therapy Wraps About Us I started making dog treats for my German Shorthair, Earl, to be sure he gets nutrition in his diet. He can't get enough of them! Every batch of Healthy Pooch Dog Treats is tested by myself, Earl, and some of my friends. Sometimes I go back for more! Let's face it, how many of us eat beets on a regular basis?! Beets are high in fiber, potassium, iron, and folate. They are made with fresh fruits and vegetables, organic when possible, then I cut them into fun shapes: Dog houses, Fire hydrants, Paws, Bones, and Hearts for Valentines Day. No preservatives are added, so they should be kept in the freezer after 7 days. According to the aspca website, dogs need 3 food groups in their diet: Meat, Grains, & Vegetables. To find out more information on care and feeding you can go to aspca.org. You will see which foods are good and bad for our 4 legged friends. Treats should only consist of 10% of your pets diet.( ) I love to keep busy so I am adding a new product called Cool Hoties. They are hand sewn hot or cold therapy rice or corn packs, and hand warmers made of fleece and flannel. You just put them in the microwave for a minute or two or in the freezer. They hold heat for quite a while and should last a long time, but I don't know how long they will hold the scent. I am adding essential oils and dried leaves from the health food store. I am always open to suggestions on a better way to make them. or would make any custom size, fabric, or scent.
