Pasture-raised broiler chickens, turkeys, heritage roosters. True free range eggs. Berkshire pork. Grassfed & finished Angus beef. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Our intent is to farm as sustainably and harmoniously with the natural system as possible. We use no antibiotics, growth stimulants, pesticides or anhydrous ammonium fertilizers as we consider these to interfere with the natural ecosystem of our ranch. We try to minimize inputs, fuel and machinery while maximizing management, labor, and the benefits of well managed grasslands. The inputs that we do use are purchased locally or as close to home as possible. All poultry is processed on farm in our Nebraska state inspected processing plant. All red meat is processed in one of two family owned and operated, USDA approved plants located about 15 miles from home. Additional Information If it seems that we have accomplished a lot, we must credit our 27 years of working at it on this ranch along with the excellent support network of the Nebraska Sustainable Agricultural Society. We have also gotten excellent support for our dreams through the Nemaha Natural Resources District, NRCS and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. |
