Bedding plant About Us Prior to our Nebraska farm history, we worked on CSA and market farms in MN & WI. We began farming in Nebraska in fall of 1996 on a borrowed land, some borrowed equipment and lots of creative handiwork. After three years, we bought 20 acres that we have now, built our house, planted fruit trees and continue to develop our farm ecosystem & infrastructure. We focus on CSA, produce, eggs and some beef & pork. We see our farm through the eyes of Biodynamics, creating a whole farm system. Recently, we began leasing pasture and hayland from neighbors that is now certified organic. We strive to serve our community -- nearer and farther -- by growing good food. Our mission as a perpetual evolving statement is: compassion, service & quality through good food grown well. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) We work from the recognition that all plants and animals are alive...more than an assembly of minerals, enzymes and whatnot. Call this vitality--this is as much, if not more, important than the physical nutrition we receive from food. The difference between "ugh." vs. "wow, let's take on the day!" when we eat food low vs. high in life giving energy. We speak of Biodynamics®, healthy and fertile soils, well balanced soils teaming with life, the mitigating influence brought by insects and wild birds in the landscape.
