Heirloom vegetable plants, perennials, shrubs, trees, produce as available. About Us To date, Fox Crossing has primarily supported the Plattsmouth Garden Club with the Veteran's Memorial Garden in Garfield Park. I designed the garden and continue to update it and provide new plant material as needed. Garfield Park is a historic presidential park located above the downtown area in Plattsmouth. Please stop by and enjoy the garden, taking a break on the recently installed benches. My concern for healthy food has led me to produce my own vegetables plants and I have learned to lacto-ferment food which maintains the foods nutritional value. This year I have been adding blended green smoothies to our diets which is leading to growing a large variety of "greens". As the year progresses I will be making these available both through the coop and for anyone wanting to stop by for fresh cuttings. To support all of these activities I will be building greenhouses which will help extend the seasons and allow me to continue these offerings later in the season. I frequently have an excess of kefir grains for anyone interested. PS I would really appreciate it if you are in doubt on ordering something that you do not put in the order until you are sure. It reduces my available items. I list the number of plants based on those that are ready to sell at the time and will add more as they mature during future store openings. Thank you for your consideration. Also please let me know if you have any problems with anything I have sold. Thanks again. Vicki Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) In the products I produce I create all of the soil-less mixes myself with peat, perlite and vermiculite. I am experimenting with different fertilizers to determine which I prefer at this time. They include Miracle gro, Tomato's plus from Garden's Alive, and whey. Mulch is used to control weeds. I believe strongly in using Heirlooms as much as possible, saving seed, and I encourage the propagation of Nebraska native trees, shrubs and plants. |
