Natural pork. Meat Bundles/Gift Packs. Frozen pies. About Us Stoltenberg Swine was established in 1959 by George and Betty Stoltenberg purchasing 6 bred gilts on a Sunday afternoon. As the years went by, the hog operation grew to 400 sows producing over 8,000 pigs per year. In recent years, Stoltenberg Swine has down-sized its operations to a small select high-health herd where the pigs are grown naturally for Harvest Valley Foods without growth stimulants, antibiotics, animal protein or animal fat. All pigs used for Harvest Valley Foods pork products are grown the old-fashioned way on the original farm and are personally hand selected for superior quality and taste. All meats are USDA inspected and Harvest Valley meat bundles make the perfect gift. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Harvest Valley pigs are not fed animal proteins or animal fats. The protein source we use is soybean meal. We also feed them cayenne pepper, oregano and thyme for utilizing their essential oils in addition to lactobacillus and organic selenium. The animals do not receive any antibiotics or growth hormones from birth through market. Our meat is tested at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada for color scoring, drip loss and PSS. The animals are high-health and free of viruses and pathogens.
