Heritage Turkeys, Berkshire Pork, Freshly Ground Poultry Feed, Veggies About Us poultry feed, heritage turkey, grass-fed lamb, Berkshire pork Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients We are located 9 miles northeast of West Point, about 90 minutes north of Omaha. My great-great grandfather homesteaded not too far from here, and we were thrilled to move to Nebraska back in 1998 from California to raise our family. We love it here! rnrnOur family farm uses mainly organic practices, we raise our livestock on pasture, and the poultry feed we mix ourselves. It is made using organic or transitional non-GMO corn, soy meal and oats. We work with very limited quantities of livestock due to our limited space, but this enables us to give more attention to each group of animals. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Poultry Feed: We can custom mix different rations, with the most popular being broiler and layer rations. It's available in 50# bags, or on the farm in bulk. The main ingredients are organic or transitional non-GMO corn, soy meal, and oats; Fertrell Poultry Nutribalancer (vitamins, minerals, kelp meal, probioitcs), feed-grade limestone for calcium, and for higher-protein mixes, fish meal which contains a natural preservative instead of the more common synthetic preservative. Additional Information We'll be listing broiler/chick feed again starting in March. Highlights this Month See Producer Questionnaire. Feel free to ask us any additional questions. |

Free-Range Heritage Turkey - Older Birds, Half Price
4 turkeys available. Order number of turkeys. You will be billed for exact weight (between 24 and 26 lbs)
The remaining birds are in the 24-26 lb range.
Each year we renew our breeding stock by saving back some younger birds, and removing some older birds, striving to maintain a mix of both younger and older for the new breeding flock. Historically our family has enjoyed eating these birds throughout the winter season, warming up the home and enjoying the wonderful aroma of a baking turkey. While these older birds aren't as tender as the younger "prime" bids we put on our Thanksgiving table, the flavor is more developed, and they are an excellent value at half the price. Further information on our turkeys can also be found in our general description under Item #923. As in past years cooking suggestions will be included with each turkey. To specify a desired size, first place the turkey into your shopping cart. Then from your cart, please enter in the "notes to producer" section the size range you can accept.
