About 26th Street Farm:
26th Street Farm is a 1.5 acre diversified vegetable, herb and flower farm in Hastings, Nebraska. After meeting and working together at an organic production farm outside of Seatlle, Washington, Will Boal and Hannah Keen moved back to Nebraska to start 26th Street Farm. Our produce is hand-tended and we do not produce our food using any harsh chemicals.
General Practices:
We do not use any harsh herbicides or insecticides at our farm. We utilize row cover and integrated pest management strategies to deal with insect pressure on our produce. In the rare event we feel an application is necessary we only use naturally-based products allowed under the National Organic Program regulations. Our seeds are non-GMO varieties, which are often times certified organic. We regularly rotate and cover crop our fields to enhance the life of our soil and attract beneficial insects, and take full advantage of our on-site honeybee apiary to aid in pollination.
