Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
Three migratory beekeepers in our family have produced honey locally as well as varietal honeys in other states since 1972. We use their honey and beeswax to make our products. We bottle honey in its raw form (never heated or filtered) as well as liquid (lightly heated and filtered). We collect, clean and bottle pollen by hand. We make our jams, jellies, salsa, and sauces with honey in large kettle batches, the old-fashioned way. We also produce a variety of no sugar added jams and jellies. We hand pick locally-grown wild fruits, and use as much locally grown produce as possible. We make our body care products in small hand-made batches with all-natural oils, butters, honey and beeswax. We also make hand-poured beeswax candles.
