1.) FREE RANGE HERITAGE TURKEY - GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Order number of N/As. Each year we LOCALLY hatch and raise our own strains of heritage turkeys. They include Bourbon Red, Sweetgrass, Bronze and Heritage White varieties. These birds are true sustainable, farm-type birds, as they can naturally reproduce, which the man-made commercial white breeds are unable to accomplish any longer, due to their enormous size. These are truly free-range, roaming our pasture at will, enjoying the grass, clover and grasshoppers! We also mix our own fresh feed using organic and transitional grains. They are a smaller size bird than the commercial white, and are more balanced in their body structure vs. the nearly "all-breast" commercial strains.Cooking suggestions are included with each bird.
Birds are flash frozen and delivered through the co-op.
All orders will also include the turkey processor's fee, not to exceed $5.
