Farm Report Card Order number of items. Just in time for farmer's market season! This handy tool will guide you through the barage of vendors at any farmer's market you choose to shop at. You keep track of what is important to you, ranking individual farmers and their products. There are places to record your findings on items like beef, poultry, eggs and produce. You'll rank your findings on things like sustainability of the farm, localness of the farm, and farming practices like feed given to animals and crop management as well as many other areas of interest. I developed this item especially to help those who are new to the buy fresh, buy local type of mentatility. Often times such people are searching for ways to improve their health based on a particular style of eating they've been told will help them with whatever "problem" they may be trying to overcome. But it can become overwhelming keeping track of it all. And sorting through the information each vendor gives can also become overwhelming. But the Farm Report Card is good for anyone. By filling out the report card you'll have a handy reference list to aide you in finding another vendor when your favorite vendor is out of an item you want or to help someone else who is looking for a particular item produced a particular way. This double sided 8.5 X 14 sheet easily folds to fit into your purse or pocket so you can take it along to the market. A detailed instruction sheet is also included. There is room to "rank" or "grade" up to 6 meat vendors and 12 produce vendors (4 per season Spring,Summer and Fall). |
