Muffins & Cookies About Us Two Birds Bakery is Meg Thomas & Trilety Wade; a couple of local birds who love to bake. Two Birds Bakery offers 8 flavorful muffins and 10 delectable cookies. Meg and Trilety prepare high quality, tasty baked goods in two styles; classic baked goods with locally sourced eggs and butter (when available), and hearty and nourishing baked goods prepared exclusively with spelt flour and without dairy products or eggs. Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients Classic baked goods use white flour, white/brown sugar, eggs, milk, butter, cocoa, etc. Hearty baked goods use spelt flour, natural sweeteners, flax seed, organic/vegan brown sugar, alternative milks, etc Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Two Birds baked goods are produced in Midtown Omaha. Items are baked in home kitchens that have not been inspected or certified, though the Two Birds are currently enrolled in the Sanitation class at MCC's Institute of Culinary Arts and practice safe food handling methods. We try and use locally grown/processed ingredients when available. Local eggs are used exclusively. Local butter is used in the classic cookies, when available. Locally processed flax seeds are used in all the non-egg products. Locally grown/processed fruits/nuts are used when in season or when available. "Food items were prepared in a kitchen that is not subject to regulation or inspection by the Foods Division of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture." |
