About Us
We have lived here for nearly 30 years. We started raising our own food back then because, having been raised on 'the' farm, we knew home grown food was better than store bought food. We learned that the less chemicals that were added the better the food was and the safer it was. We learned that the more 'natural' processes that we use made for even better food. This understanding also carries over into how we raise our fruit. Eating a 'tree rippened' fruit is like WOW different than store bought fruit that has to be picked before it is ripe, shipped, stored, shipped again, not to mention what else they do to it, for the customer to buy. So we desire to share, not only the blessing of abundance, but also our knowledge of what home grown food can be like.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
We use natural products on the land. Rotating crops every year, letting the ground rest every 7 years as the Bible instructs, at the least. We use the garden areas for bedding areas for the cows during some of the winter months. By doing this we get fresh manure added to the garden as well as wasted hay and straw. More below -

Fruits: Apples

ID Product Name [About Producer] Type Price
#1810 Apples
Order number of bags. Two types of apples, some of which are coming from 'Moms' apple tree that I moved to save from a pivot, which I believe to be McIntosh apples. I believe the other apple is a red Delicious. Medium to large size - nice and sweet. If planning on canning for pie filling use reduced amount of sugar or the end product will be very sweet. 2 apples make about 1 pound - between 4 to 5 pounds per gallon bag.
All Natural $6.00/bag
#1858 Apples by the pound
Order number of pounds s. Medium to large in size - nice and sweet. Seeing how apples do not come in pounds you can be sure that we will round up to next apple.
All Natural $1.65/pound
#2934 Canning Apples
Order number of pounds. These are apples that you will want to use for apple juice, apple sauce, pie filling, apple preserves etc. Like canning tomatoes - they are not prefect and there will be some waste - that is why they are half price. This will be the only time this season we offer these. Maybe next year we will put some out if people want these.
All Natural $0.80/pound
#1892 Fuji type apple
Order number of bags. A popular dessert apple - which has mild sweet flavor and fine-textured, juicy flesh. A treat for fresh eating. Stores very well and stays crisp, both at room temperature and refrigerated. This type of apple rippens from late September to mid October. We will put them in a gallon zip-lock bag - unless you order several bags. A gallon bag, depending on the size of the apple, will hold between 4 to 5 lbs. We will put multiple bags orders in a flat.
All Natural $6.00/bag
#2854 Fuji type apple - by pound
Order number of pounds. Same apples as by the bag except these are by the pound for those who can not use 4 to 5 pounds of apples at one time. We do not have a 'certified' scale to weight with, but we make every effort to ensure that you get as close to what you order as we can with a focus on trying to get you a little extra for your money.
All Natural $1.65/pound

Nuts, Seeds & Beans: Other

ID Product Name [About Producer] Type Price

We have hundreds of them and desire to share them with anyone who desires them to add extra flavor to their baked goods. We will put them in a quart bag. Weight will vary with the moisture content of the outer shell. So we are not selling them by the pound - but by the bag. Vegetables: Winter Squash

ID Product Name [About Producer] Type Price
#1812 Waltham Butternut - winter squash
Order number of squashes. You will be billed for exact weight (approx. 3 - 5.5 pounds) - the system states that you are billed by the exact weight. However we will round the weight down to the nearest 1/2 pound, so that you will get more than what you are billed for in pounds. The system will allow you to put in information in regards to how heavy a squash you would like in the comment area, and we will do our best to meet that request. It has been stated that the Waltham squash tastes better than regular butternut squash. It can be up to 3 time heavier than the 'store' type butternuts, based on what I have seen. This type of squash stores well if you have a cool dry place. If storing it could be suggested that you put dry material like straw between layers.
