Whole broiler chickens and eggs. On occasion we'll have heritage breed meat chickens available, as well as roosters and hens that make great soup, stews and of course chicken and dumplings. |
| Describe your farming, processing and/or crafting practices. (if applicable) | We are basically organic, but not certified. We use no chemical herbicides or fertilizers. We buy custom mixed feed with no antibiotics. Our chickens all get to live a life full of bugs, greens and daylight access to the outdoors. Broilers are outdoors 24/7 from three to four weeks of age to processing. Our birds are processed at Kvam Family Farm by West Point through the Nebraska Poultry Grower's Cooperative. |

Our chickens are fed naturally and we use no hormones, antibiotics or steroids. We buy our broilers chickens locally and work with our hatcheries to get the best chicks available. |

Our layers have access to the outdoors daily and are fed a custom ground all-natural layer feed. Our broilers are on pasture most of their lives, but also received a custom ground, all-natural, high protein feed. |

We do not use chemicals and compost our chicken manure. |

We give the chickens water from the same well we drink from. So of course we protect the groundwater on our farm. |

Our small farm or large acreage is completely traversed north and south by the Battle Creek. We basically raise our chickens on pasture on the east side of the creek and manage the wooded areas and the grass on the west side of the creek for wildlife. |

All of meat chickens are bought from Madison County hatcheries. Our feed is custom ground in either Madison or Platte County depending on price and/or availability. We also building breeding flocks of rare to extremely rare, heritage, dual purpose (eggs & meat) chickens. |
