Our Dairy/Meat Goats are grass-fed and get a small amount of organic grain. Our beef calves are purchased from a local grass-fed, all natural dairy. Our layer Chickens are allowed access to outside grass and bugs as are our meat chickens who live in Chicken Tractors and are moved once and sometimes twice daily. Chickens are supplemented with organic and transitional grains and given alfalfa in the winter. |

We compost and use green and animal manures. Our Gardens are being transformed to a permaculture environment. |

We are currently hooked up to rural water. Our water is supplemented by catching water from metal roofs for all our animals and we are working on catch systems for water supplementing in our garden areas. |

We have a huge windbreak and our waterway is in grass. We encourage birds through plantings. By converting to permaculture pratices we use huge amounts of unsprayed mulch products and constantly work on soil improvement by adding kelp and manure/manure teas (both green and animal) |

We use local ingredients whenever possible in our baked and herbal products. Our Beef Calves are Guernsey's and we have Nubian Dairy Goats and Boer crosses. Even our hand crafted items often use local wool and other products. |
