We live in Shelton, NE and are new to this adventure. We are learning about sustainable methods of growing and are implementing them as we go. I (Mom, Stacy) grew up in the country in the deep South (Mississippi) where we grew almost everything we ate. Learning how to grow in Nebraska has been an experience in itself. Marty (Dad) grew up in the suburbs of Denver. With much encouragement every move has brought us further and further in to the country, ( where my heart is) I always wanted my kids to grow up in the country, raising animals, eating real food and giving back to their world and community. I am so very happy to be on this journey. (I am glad that my honey is in for the ride with me although it is far from his comfort) Though I must admit Marty is very talented at everything he puts his mind to and is an essential asset here. He builds, digs, carries, fixes and invents many things that make life easier here. He is a great sport and I do believe he is starting to like it. The kids are all an very important part of everything that happens here. My oldest son, John 18 is in his first year of college this year but he rest of them are busy everyday helping and learning. My daughters Marleyna 15 and McKendra 11 are two of the main characters in this business. We will be working together to grow and provide a quality product to share with you. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) We plant in raised beds on our property using no harmful chemicals, pesticides or fertilizers. Most of the seedlings will be started in our greenhouse then transplanted out right away in the Spring. We use covers and mulch to heat the soil. With the help of our hens the bug population should be kept to a minimum. Highlights this Month We will be taking pre-orders for broilers. We have fresh eggs ready and available right away. |

You will be billed for exact weight (approx. 3 - 5 pounds) Our broiler chickens are raised in a large fenced area where they are allowed to range and are given free choice nutritious feed and and plenty of fresh water. We will process them and have them weighed at the locker. They will be sold by the pound at a rate of $3.00 per pound. |
