About Us
Fertile ground is the collaboration of two small family farms with one idea: To grow the tastiest and healthiest fruits and vegetables possible using sustainable farming methods.

We have a passion for heirlooms, both for their diversity and outstanding taste. Heirloom varieties require more care than commercial produce and must be picked just a few hours before being delivered to our customers. This means extra effort on our part, but it also means the same high quality that we bring to our family tables can also be brought to our customers. We know from our own experience you will be able to taste the difference.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
We are dedicated to the preservation of the family farm, locally grown and consumed produce and products and methods of agriculture that minimize use of pesticides and herbicides. We are a resource for fresh, old fashioned tasty vegetables from sustainable seed sources grown the old fashioned way.

Although native to the Americas, it is far more popular in Eastern Europe where its juice has been known to help people with heart conditions.
