The Berkshire pork we raise is a specialty breed, highly prized by gourmet chefs and overseas markets for its excellent flavor and marbling. We can attest that it really is different - more flavorful and moist than the standard pork that can be purchased from most places. It does NOT compete with chicken for being "the other white meat"! We currently custom-grow the porkers to order, so if you know you'd like to have a 1/2 hog raised for you, we can do it! (It's really a neat accomplishment to raise 1/2 hogs!) We generally have a spring and fall batch that we raise, but will start additional groups if there is interest. We deliver them to a local processor, and you get all sorts of choices for how you'd like to have the meat packaged.
