A creamy, unscented, totally natural blend of Calendula Oil and Vitamin E whipped into Pure Raw Unrefined Shea Butter. In my opinion, the best combination there is for natural skin care! Unrefined is better than refined. Refining Shea Butter is usually done by bleaching and deodorizing it, neutralizing it with lye, and over-heating it to high temperatures, loosing most of the beneficial vitamins. Our Calendula Oil is made by infusing Calendula petals in Pure Olive oil in the sun for several weeks. Our whipped Calendula Shea is perfect for hydrating dry skin, wrinkles, and stretch marks. I love it for winter when my skin gets dry. It is super thick and absorbs into the skin and stays put. I have read that is great to condition hair, but have not tried it yet because my hair is to straight and fine and it may weigh it down. Rendering your own lard is so easy! All you have to do is that this "roast" and place it in a large baking dish. Place in 250 degree oven for several hours. It will liquify... pour or ladle out fat into jars and leave on counter to cool. You should get about 2 jars of lard.. your first jar will be snow white and second on will be more light amber in color. The white lard has no pork flavor and is great for baking.. the darker lard has wonderful pork flavor which is excellent for frying/roasting with. When all the lard is melted you are left with crunchies... a favorite treat in my house.. just add some salt and much away! YUM! Our pigs are raised outdoors on rotational pasture. We supplement with organic soy-free grains, fresh milk from our grass-fed jersey cows, and occasionally whey. We follow organic practices on our land and with our animals.
