You bake them for 20 minutes in the oven and then pour about 1/2 T of aronia cayenne sauce on top of each piece of pepper and eat them. The aronia cayenne sauce will come in a little container in the package for your peppers. This is your chance to taste the Aronia Berry Cayenne Sauce with out having to buy a whole bottle and to taste it prepared like many people love it. Thus the name “fingerling,” and therein lies their unique appeal. Fingerlings are known for their rich flavor, moist, waxy or dry texture and striking colors. Red Thumb fingerling is relatively new and rather rare fingerling potato. It has brilliant-red skin and reddish-pink flesh. It cries out for a place in a gourmet setting. The uniformity of this particular potato makes it a favorite among chefs. When it comes to flavor, fingerlings take first prize. Fingerlings are smooth, rich, and buttery in flavor. Some varieties taste more nutty or earthy. Fingerlings are easy to prepare. Fingerlings taste great roasted, steamed, grilled, fried, sautéed, or boiled. They hold up well, and look great on the plate. Do not peel them. This helps keep their great flavor intact. Moreover, they will hold their shape and absorb less water. However, if you must, skins come off much easier after potatoes are cooked. These taste great roasted, steamed, boiled, or pan-fried. Potatoes are an excellent source of fiber and a high in potassium, vitamin C, copper, folic acid, magnesium, and iron.Cold potato salad made with vinaigrette dressing, stored overnight in the fridge, is by far the healthiest way to eat potatoes. Chilling will increase the potatoes' resistant starch content, the acid in the vinaigrette, (citrus juice or vinegar), slows your digestion, allowing your stomach to more completely process the vegetables. This combination of cooled starch and acidic dressing results in a lower glycemic spike, which is healthier for your body. Nicola has a glycemic index rating of 58, making it healthy to eat (in modest portions). Nicola was cooked and tested in a Finnish food study, and was found to have the highest levels of phenolic acids, in comparison to all of the 40 types of potatoes in the study.
